Same thing here, I was running my 3 accounts under wine since the "official" client was so bad. No wonder why they didn't saw clients growt with the packaged linux "client". Anyway, I cancelled all of my 3 accounts in reply to this news.

Yes how about working with Simon (gtkevemon) to have some common code? But this is definitely a good idea to have one for QT, as I prefer KDE over gnome.
